Debbie is passionate about coaching and developing good business structure as well as individuals in business. Debbie has a background in sales and strategy, with experience gained in corporates through to her own shops as well as AbleGrowth - the business she runs now. It is fair to say that Debbie recognises many of the challenges her clients face because she has actually experienced some sticky business moments herself.
From an early age Debbie was interested in what makes a business tick, even from her first Saturday job at a local country park, an interest in commerce led her to study Economics at Southampton University and then a management role with the John Lewis Partnership. Key sectors within B2C and B2B have included large retail, pharmaceutical, logistics and small retail.
In 2014 Debbie decided to utilise all her years of experience of managing, developing and growing businesses or business divisions by becoming a business coach and trainer. Debbie has quickly developed a reputation in the Gloucestershire area and beyond for her ability to identify challenges and work with the key individuals to move businesses on to the next stage.
Debbie has a BSc in Economics and is a Leader with the Institute of Sales Management. She is certified to deliver DiSC personality profiling.
Today you will find Debbie working with her clients and writing for the AbleGrowth elearning platform. Debbie also finds time to speak at many events including conferences and sales meetings.
Debbie has recently joined the committee of Stroud Business Women’s Network to increase business training for members. She has sat on the Growth Hub’s ‘Meet the Mentor’ panel since 2015. Debbie is one of the first to be accredited to deliver coaching through the University of Gloucestershire’s Growth Hub GAIN programme for high growth businesses.
Rebecca Underwood has a BSc Psychology from Bristol University and finds people, and specifically the way they learn, fascinating. She has worked for large corporates Proctor and Gamble and Novartis as well as freelancing for Reed Training and other direct clients.
Rebecca is an accredited Myers Briggs certified trainer and holds the CIPD certificate in training practice. She particular enjoys working with SMEs because it is so 'real' and there are such great opportunities to have a big impact on companies outcomes.
Rebecca's training knowledge and experience is a valuable asset to AbleGrowth to ensure that professional standards are achieved and maintained. She writes and trains on an associate basis. She brings a wealth of knowledge as well as her encouraging and pragmatic nature.
Integrita Plus are based in Cheltenham and Gloucester they provide sales and marketing support for businesses of all sides, with a clear focus on sales generation and customer engagement. The company offers a no waffle approach to marketing and has worked closely with AbleGrowth on development of new media communication including the new website, video content, social media management and marketing campaign strategy.
Integrita Plus are delivering additional sales courses with a focus on telephone skills for sales and service, coupled with a number of marketing led courses available for businesses of all sizes.
Catherine is a Virtual Assistant who provides reliable, discreet admin and business support for busy sole traders, freelancers, consultants and small businesses.
Catherine provides administrative support and sanity to AbleGrowth. Debbie and Catherine discovered each other in 2016 when Catherine commented on one of Debbie’s LinkedIn articles. They may have met on a global platform but they live less than 10 minutes walk from each other, so a business relationship seemed a natural step.
